WWE Tag Team Titles Match Announced For Roadblock

The New Day-League of Nations program begins on Saturday.

WWE has officially announced that Tag Team Champions The New Day will be defending their titles at Roadblock this Saturday against The League of Nations' Sheamus and King Barrett. A feud between the two stables was first teased at Fastlane, but apart from online videos released by The New Day, the program seemed to have been dropped. Since the PPV, the WWE Tag Team Champions have been feuding with Chris Jericho and AJ Styles, while The League of Nations have been spinning their wheels. Still, rumors persisted that the match was still on for WrestleMania. While this bout is official for Roadblock, the program is expected to continue through to the show of shows. According to the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, the teams will clash again at WrestleMania - potentially in a six-man tag team contest - with the feud designed to turn The New Day into faces. Originally, WWE had been advertising a Sheamus-Roman Reigns singles match at Roadblock, but the number one contender's recent absence due to facial surgery has prevented him from competing at the Toronto show. Roadblock airs live on the WWE Network this Saturday at 8:00 PM EST.
