WWE Teases Motor City Machine Guns Debut On SmackDown
Fans are buzzing after WWE dropped this sweet teaser on SmackDown pre-Bad Blood.
Motor City Machine Guns duo Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley will soon debut on WWE TV. The pair were teased during a brief vignette on Friday's episode of SmackDown, and it looks like they'll be introduced on the blue brand imminently.
That'll come as a surprise to those who believed Sabin and Shelley would be best-placed to succeed on NXT. It seems Triple H thinks differently - 'The Game' probably sees value in MCMG as an underdog babyface tag who can work opposite Bloodline pair Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.
That's guesswork though. It remains to be seen exactly which kind of spot Sabin and Shelley will have on Friday nights. It'll also be interesting to keep an eye on Monday's Raw to see if a similar teaser spot airs on the flagship. If so, then it's up in the air whether these Machine Guns are Raw or SmackDown bound.
SmackDown is the safest bet for now.
Sabin and Shelley made names for themselves in ROH and TNA before working extensively in New Japan. The team also appeared on AEW's All Out 2022 pay-per-view, but that didn't lead to a full-time deal.
