Randy Orton will mount his latest challenge for Drew McIntyre's WWE Championship at Hell In A Cell 2020, the promotion has announced.

Confirmation effectively came on last night's Raw. The episode opened with an Orton promo on last week's assault of Ric Flair, Big Show, Christian, and Shawn Michaels, before he turned his crosshairs towards McIntyre, challenging the WWE Champion to a Hell In A Cell match. Drew ended up attacking Randy before officials separated the two to close the segment.

McIntyre accepted the challenge later in the evening, so the match is set for 25 October. It joins Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso as the second HIAC bout on the card.

Orton and McIntyre also clashed in a six-man tag main event. It was Orton, Dolph Ziggler, and Robert Roode vs. McIntyre and the Street Profits, with 'The Viper' scoring a direct pinfall on the WWE Champion via RKO to take the win.

This will be the third WWE Championship match between McIntyre and Orton this year, with Drew victorious at both SummerSlam and Clash Of Champions. The latter was particularly decisive, and featured interference from the aforementioned legends, their revenge seemingly giving them closure.
