It's been called lazy booking by some, and a welcome change by others, but WWE aren't achieving much by having Charlotte emulate her famous father. It's fine to have 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair at ringside cheering on his daughter, or appearing by her side more often than not, but that doesn't mean the WWE Divas Champion should be turned into a pale female reflection of daddy dearest. Taking TLC as a sole example, the idea doesn't have any legs. There's no indication that fans want to see Charlotte pretend to be Ric Flair. The story is obviously that Flair has led his daughter astray, teaching her to cheat and act like he did when he was successful. It would be fine if this was subtle, but Charlotte used everything she could think of during her pay-per-view match against Paige. During the bout, Charlotte even performed what is commonly known as the 'Flair Flop'. Fans laughed at the spot, because it was so utterly cheesy. WWE need to be careful here, because they run the risk of spoiling a wrestler many fans were excited about seeing hit the main roster.
