WWE TLC 2016 Results Predictions

We are currently in WWE's calm before the storm, the slow drudge through the cold of December, from which Vinnie Mac's lads start gearing up for the Road to WrestleMania. To say that WWE isn't known for bringing it's A-grade material during this time a year would be considered an understatement. Thus, with only two weeks of reprieve from the turbulent Survivor Series, WWE thrusts another show from their overcrowded PPV schedule upon us, hoping to tie us over with leftovers until they deliver the real goods in the new year.

That's not to say there isn't cause for optimism for the upcoming TLC PPV. SmackDown Live's exclusive showcases have been surprising with their quality, especially considering the lack of depth in their roster. However, the blue brand has a few things working against it this time around. For starters, this will be their first gimmick PPV of the new brand split, holding them to the same obstacle of oversaturation as their RAW counterparts. Furthermore, many of their main feuds going into this Sunday have been running since Backlash or earlier, adding some element of staleness to this SD PPV not seen yet.

With the blue crew behind the eight ball, it may be time for a serious shake-up for Tuesday Nights. With that in mind, here are my predictions for WWE TLC.

This match will be the freshest match on the card, and will likely be used to further one story and end another.

It's hard to believe that Bray Wyatt hasn't held championship gold in WWE yet, given the momentum he was given in his first year on the main roster. It may have taken 4 years, but The Eater of Worlds finally seems poised for a title. Wyatt and Randy Orton certainly have the momentum from Survivor Series on their side, and the logical step would be to build that momentum with championship gold. Nothing would continue the current Wyatt dynamic of a jealous Luke Harper showing envy of Wyatt's success with The Viper than a win at TLC

Heath Slater and Rhyno, on the other hand, really don't have much to do as champs right now. The "get a contract" story was fantastic, but it's long over now, and it's time to pass the titles along to someone that will benefit from them. Rhyno, with his new fresh face, will likely want to go back to his political career, and Slater has shown that he has the dorky charisma to make it on his own as a midcarder when given the chance.

It just makes sense with the current climate of the SmackDown Tag Team division for the championships to head to the dark side
