WWE TLC 2018: Braun Strowman Vs. Baron Corbin OFF Due To Injury?

Raw promo leads to increased speculation that Strowman vs. Corbin is OFF.

Braun Strowman addressed the WWE Universe from his hospital bed on last night's Raw, vowing to "come back 100%" after of surgery on his injured elbow.

Though originally assumed to be a work, Pro Wrestling Sheet confirmed Strowman's issues were legitimate last week, noting that he'd aggravated the elbow while competing at Survivor Series. His bone spurs will soon be removed, but 'The Monster Among Men' is now set to miss over a month of action.

PWSheet's original report led to speculation that Strowman would miss his scheduled TLC 2018 match against rival Baron Corbin. This has only amplified since last night's segment, with Corbin claiming (in kayfabe) that Braun wouldn't be able to compete on the 16 December show.

The match hasn't officially been called off yet, as there's still an outside chance Strowman could make it to TLC. A prolonged recovery would complicate his upcoming bookings. The Corbin situation needs resolving, but Braun is already set to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble, leaving no obvious PPV platform for a blow-off bout.

Fingers crossed for Braun's speedy recovery, whether the TLC match happens or not.
