4. No TLC For Women's Division At TLC

Last year's TLC ended with Asuka beating both Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a sensational eponymous match, as the women's division pivoted full-tilt towards its WrestleMania apex. Twelve months on, and all the division has to show for itself at 2019's season-closer is a tag match for a set of belts the promotion could not care less about.

This is the only women's contest on Sunday's show, whereas 2018's vintage boasted three (though let's not crow too much about the Jim Neidhart-decaled table). The only female involvement elsewhere on the card will see Maryse as a hysterical mother, and Lana the object of cuckolding opprobrium. Expect the word "b*tch" to make an ugly appearance. How things have declined.

At the very least, the solitary match we do get is a good one, with several clear directions emanating from it. Presuming Becky vs. Asuka is the path we're heading down in the short term, a victory for the Kabuki Warriors with some dissension on the opposing team seems a good shout here - and will filter in to a Lynch/Charlotte programme further down the line.

Prediction: The Kabuki Warriors know what they're doing, and they'll do it to good effect.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
