WWE: Top 10 Tag Teams Of The Attitude Era

1. New Age Outlaws

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkgcNjH-gNM "Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls, Children of all ages. D-Generation X proudly brings to you, the WWF Tag Team Champions of the World! The Road Dogg Jesse James, the Badd Ass Billy Gunn...The New Age Outlaws!" After failed runs under other gimmicks, the Road Dogg and Billy Gunn originally formed in 1997, before establishing themselves are perhaps the most charismatic and popular tag team not just in the Attitude Era, but of all time. During their run, only Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock outsold them in merchandise sales. Then the night after a memorable Dumpster match against Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie at WrestleMania XIV in 1998, the edgy duo joined arguably the best stable in WWE history - D-Generation X. They developed into a more than just a tag team, but a 'main event' tag team that would take on an array of the top stars in the company. They had brief periods in early 1999 when they competed as legitimate singles competitors, on the back of the success they had made as a team, and worked well both as babyfaces and heels. They did split for a few months during the summer of 1999, but reformed in the fall, and feuded with the Rock 'n' Sock Connection as the year drew to an end. They were the WWF Tag Team champions at the turn of the century, but lost the belts at No Way Out in February, as Billy Gunn was written off T.V. as he had to have surgery for a torn rotator cuff. That was the last we'd see of them during that period, as a team. Such was there impact, that they were still able to come back 14 years later and capture the WWE Tag Team titles on the pre-show of the 2014 Royal Rumble. So, I've got the New Age Outlaws at number one, "And if you ain't down with that, I've got two words for ya!...."
