Charlotte Flair pushed to work alongside her real-life fiancé Andrade on WWE TV, but this request was turned down in the end, according to the Wrestling Observer.

Andrade's decision to request his release from WWE has been the talk of the wrestling world over the past week or so, with the star even confirming the rumours on Twitter.

It's now being reported that there was a time when Andrade's wife-to-be, current WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair, was keen to work with her man on television, but her ideas for an angle were turned down by those in charge.

Dave Meltzer revealed as much in the WON:

"Ashley Fliehr (Charlotte) did push to work an angle together with Andrade to get him on television but it was turned down."

Hearing about Flair angling to work with Andrade on TV won't come as much of a surprise to some, with the former Raw, SmackDown and NXT Women's Champion openly admitting that she has pitched a storyline for them in the past. However, the news of the angle being reportedly turned down by WWE only adds fuel to the fire that is Andrade feeling as though his time with the company is up.

In terms of Flair, it's also unclear what the future holds for her as WrestleMania 37 draws nearer. The star was recently pulled from a 'Mania 37 graphic, and has yet to cement herself in a match for this year's 'Show of Shows'.
