WWE has confirmed that Apollo Crews vs. MVP will happen at SummerSlam 2020 on 23 August.

Crews returned to action on last night's episode of Raw and beat MVP to retain his United States Title. Then, MVP challenged comeback king Crews to a title rematch on pay-per-view, and the bout is now officially set.

Apollo did suggest that he'd be ditching the old US Title design and carrying the new one - he also added that he'd hang the previous flag-based design on his kid's bedroom wall. The weird thing is that graphics for SummerSlam show Crews carrying the old title, not the new one that was recently introduced.

That possible graphical mistake aside, this should be a good match. Both guys have shown excellent chemistry together thus far, and MVP has been a real credit to Raw since working this wrestler-come-manager gig alongside Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.

His United States Title challenge will be a solid midcard addition to the SummerSlam lineup. It wouldn't be a surprise if MVP ended up winning the belt outright later this month either.

That'd give Crews something to chase.
