An injury sparked fears for Montez Ford's WWE SummerSlam 2022 status earlier this week, though it sounds like he'll be able to compete on Saturday's premium live event as planned.

Dave Meltzer reports in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ford was "knocked loopy" while teaming with Street Profits partner Angelo Dawkins and Riddle to face The Bloodline on this week's Raw. WWE feared Ford had broken his nose in the bout, though it is anticipated he'll be good to go for SummerSlam.

Ford was able to shake whatever was ailing him off on Raw, finishing the match.

The Street Profits will challenge for The Usos' Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam. Jeff Jarrett is to serve as the special guest referee in his Nashville, Tennessee home base. By the time the show hits the airwaves, The Usos will have been Tag Team Champions in some shape or form for 377 days.

Ford and Dawkins, meanwhile, haven't tasted gold since losing the SmackDown Tag Team Championships to The Dirty Dawgs (Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode) in January 2021. WWE is reportedly high on Montez for a potential singles push somewhere down the line.
