AJ Lee and Becky Lynch were installed as fifth members on the babyface and heel squads for next weekend's women's WarGames match at Survivor Series 2025 during the closing segment of SmackDown. That completes both teams at 5 members apiece. Both sides are now as follows: Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax and Lash Legend vs. AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.

A show long storyline saw Rhea and Charlotte finally bury the hatchet once and for all. Then, come the end of the night, Ripley gleefully announced that AJ would be joining them in the fight on WWE's next PLE. The heels attacked from behind as Lee made her way to the ring. Then, just as AJ tried to get involved and help them out, Becky ambushed her in the aisle way.

SmackDown ended with Lynch and Asuka shaking hands before all of the villains celebrated.

Fans have expressed concerns about the way Triple H has handled both WarGames matches this year. There's a definite thrown together vibe to them which is undeniable. It's particularly obvious on the women's side though. Nia and Lash literally just formed as a team, and the whole 'friends for the night or enemies for life' thing between Ripley and Flair has been so-so.

It's official: Becky Lynch and AJ Lee are onboard for Survivor Series regardless. There's a solid chance that both either kick off the WarGames match or close it out. It wouldn't be a huge surprise at this point if it's Lee who gets the deciding fall over Lynch.
