WWE Working On New Tag Team Title Belt Designs?
The Usos may soon have some shiny new gold over their shoulders in WWE...
WWE appears to be working on new designs for its Tag Team Championships.
Professional wrestling belt expert Dan Beltzer, @BeltFanDan, tweeted as much earlier this week. He claims to have been told that WWE will take the existing belt designs, dual-plate them, colour the straps black, and place a WWE logo in the middle. Additionally, the company's women's belts will soon have coloured backing.
Per Beltzer:-
New WWE Tag belts are described to me as being the existing design, dual plated, black strap and having a stacked, large WWE logo in the center. They also have the OLD never used tags which are the women's tag style on colored straps.
Women's belts getting colored backing soon.

WWE's current Tag Team Title designs have been divisive since their inception. It sounds like WWE will now be moving towards straps that are more consistent with their general belt designs, placing the company logo front and centre. Particularly with the World and Universal Championships, this feels like a marketing move, as the gigantic branding immediately identifies where the title comes from and puts WWE at the front of the consumer's mind.
The Usos currently reign as WWE's undisputed tag team wrestling kings. Jimmy and Jey have been SmackDown Tag Team Champions for over a year, having taken the blue straps in July 2021, though they added the Raw belts to their collection this May as well. Their last successful defence of both titles came against The Mysterios on 1 August.
