However, the point remains, WWE is having immense popularity with internet video. ORIGINAL STORY: The WWE YouTube channel was the world's most watched YouTube channel in the world for September, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports. This is the second straight month of WWE ruling the world of internet video. The numbers were 339,000 subscribers watching 386 million views. It hammers home a point about Raw's popularity. Far from people losing interest in the show, it could be that viewers are just choosing to consume the content differently. A view count of 386 million doesn't suggest that WWE's product is boring right now, it suggests that there's actually a lot of interest in the show. Raw highlights are doing very well on YouTube. What it does tell us, is that fans prefer manageable chunks of content. Three hours of Raw is too much, but bitesize chunks of the key points of the show are doing great. Fans can catch up on their phone, tablet, or computer. It is easier to watch Raw this way for many people. What WWE need to do is to strengthen their show to make it feel more like you've got to watch live. There's clearly interest out there, it is just a case of making sure the viewers are watching on television. Internet video is important for WWE to have a presence on, but the real money is still in television.
