WrestleMania 28 garnered 1.3 million pay-per-view buys with global gross sales in excess of $67 million including the live event.
WWE has announced that Wrestlemania 28, which was held on April 1st at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami set new records for pay-per-view buys and gross sales. WWE reports that preliminary estimates show that Wrestlemania garnered 1.3 million pay-per-view buys with global gross sales in excess of $67 million including the live event. The show which featured the 'Once in a Lifetime' match between John Cena and The Rock and was also headlined by The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels in a Hell in a Cell match and a WWE Title match between Chris Jericho and CM Punk, also broke the Stadium's attendance record with a sell out crowd of 78,363. Next year's WrestleMania 29 takes place on Sunday, April 7th at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey and is expected to be headlined by a match involving Brock Lesnar with The Rock and The Undertaker both expected to compete.
