30 years of WrestleMania to build up to this? We deserved better.
The milestone Wrestlemania 30 is now just around the corner and the main events are finally starting to take shape after months of the usual rumours and speculation. It's fair to say that, so far, these developments are being greeted with a great deal of apathy and disappointment. Now, don't get me wrong... It's not ALL doom and gloom. Let me start out by saying that there are a couple of things that Wrestlemania is doing right. Undertaker v Brock Lesnar has an epic feel to it and is perhaps the most intriguing streak match of the last couple of years. I'm also on board with Cena v Bray Wyatt, I think that this represents a massive opportunity for Bray to get to the next level and, win or lose, I' have confidence in him to not let anybody down. I haven't been as high on a new character as I have been on Bray Wyatt for a long time. Despite this smattering of positives, there's just no denying that the card for Wrestlemania is turning out to be underwhelming, and with the recent launch of the WWE Network and this being the first in the new breed of pay-per-view, that doesn't bode well for WWE.
