WWE WrestleMania 30: 13 Big Questions That Need To Be Answered

12. Will CM Punk Return?

http://youtu.be/u5HwSRo36Kg As recently as Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014, CM Punk had not returned to the WWE. And also as late as Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014, Stone Cold Steve Austin declared on his weekly podcast that he believes CM Punk will make his return to the WWE at Wrestlemania XXX. I am not one to bet against The Texas Rattlesnake, but if Punk does make his return this Sunday, it will be the greatest "work" the WWE has ever pulled off. Think about this: CM Punk has been obscenely quiet since he left the WWE after The 2014 Royal Rumble, where he was by far the most compelling Rumble entrant and did the most work out of the entire roster that night at the year's 2nd biggest and most important pay per view. Also since that night, his CM Punk Twitter account has gone cold and recently he was on a national show just several weeks ago called The Talking Dead, where he was billed by his real name Phil Brooks. And also the WWE has also been obscenely quiet since Punk left, not mentioning him on television, talking over the "CM PUNK!" chants that have tried to take over RAW in recent weeks; they have also removed him from the RAW opening montage, left him out of the video recap of The Undertaker's monumental and show-stealing wins in recent years, and have removed him from anything Wrestlemania-related, save for a few t-shirts that were likely printed many months ago for this year's event. Will CM Punk return? Of course this question will answer itself come this Sunday night. But the issue for the WWE is two-fold on either end: if he doesn't return, then they need to finally come clean as to why he is gone from the year's biggest event, talk about why he left, and why he is not willing to return for the 30th anniversary of Wrestlemania, ie, put it behind them. But if he does return, they must make it the most memorable and surprising reveal in recent memory, pulling out all the stops and delivering him back to the WWE universe in grandiose fashion.
