WWE WrestleMania 33: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
A love-hate affair.
WrestleMania 33 has come and gone, and what a rollercoaster of emotions it was. The Ultimate Thrill Ride in fact began with enormous promise, suggesting that the show might be much better than it seemed on paper.
Then the rest happened. Sadly, this year's Grandaddy of 'Em All failed to end strong, diving headlong off a cliff in its final third in particular, sure to leave fans heavily conflicted about where this year's edition stands among the rest.
Still, there was at least a lot of strong wrestling on display, even if it was naturally diluted by the show's agonising 7-plus-hour length (including the pre-show) and an unfortunate dive-bomb in quality later on that totally sucked the energy out of the Camping World Stadium.
13. WWE Title: Bray Wyatt Vs. Randy Orton
Result: Orton kills Wyatt with the RKO to win the title (10:30).
Rating: Once again WWE has the champ come out first, which makes no sense. This was an extremely low-hype WrestleMania World Title match, but it still had promise...which was mostly obliterated by an overly brief run-time and horrendously booked ending.
Wyatt having bugs projected onto the ring was a nice touch, but the lame result completely torpedoed this one: the RKO came literally out of nowhere to the benefit of nobody, because Bray deserved a longer reign and nobody cares about Orton being champ.
It may not quite be the worst match on the show in terms of pure wrestling, but the atrocious creative ensured nothing on the show was more infuriating or proof of how out-of-touch WWE creative can be. 4/10
