Going into WrestleMania 34, it seemed nailed on that Roman Reigns would beat Brock Lesnar and become the new Universal Champion. That didn't happen, but almost everyone in attendance at the Mercedes-Benz SuperDome thought it would right up until the finish.

Amidst chants of, "this is awful", Lesnar beat Roman and temporarily silenced the crowd on a night most believed would end with another big babyface celebration for Reigns. That was the right call, and it wasn't the only one WWE made at 'Mania.

Though not everything was perfect (the bizarre visual of seeing a child become Raw tag-team champion and the interminable length of the card spring to mind as negatives), the positives were undoubtedly there.

The card was laid out logically from start-to-finish, SmackDown has a new top heel with newfound vigour, one of the best wrestlers in the world is back where he belongs and WWE didn't ram superhero good guy Roman Reigns down everyone's throats in the end...
