The Showcase of the Immortals is now over, the linked Raw and Smackdown shows are out of the way and TakeOver has come and gone once more. Soon, we'll all start looking towards Florida and the 36th big event, with story-lines for that show starting to take shape already.
But before it all goes very pirate-y and Vince McMahon somehow manages to leave Kaira Sane out of the main picture despite next year's show's theme (heard it here first, folks), this year's huge crowning show deserves another look.
They booked it well, they delivered on a lot of promise that we would have been mad to predict and for all the complaints about the stage being underwhelming, there was magic in the air like no other event on the calendar. The fans got a hell of an experience, from the indie shows to everything linked to WWE but it pays to remember that the best insight often comes from within the machine itself.
