WWE WrestleMania 41: The Rock Vs. Cody Rhodes DEAD, Rock Vs. Roman Possible...

'The Final Boss' won't be in the final match of WrestleMania 41. Or ANY match, for that matter...

Prospects of The Rock taking on Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 are "dead".

This is according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer (and anybody that had eyes and/or ears and/or half a brain watching the January 6th edition of Monday Night Raw), who noted that the possible Las Vegas showdown between last year's rivals is categorically not on the cards. He also added, again not unsurprisingly, that 'The Tribal Chief' will not be taking on The Rock at the 'Show Of Shows' either, unless Dwayne Johnson changes his mind.

'The Final Boss' returned to WWE on the historic Netflix debut of Monday Night Raw, but subverted everybody's expectations when he embraced Rhodes and shared a drink with him backstage later on. Following that, he assisted Paul Heyman in returning the Ula Fala to Roman Reigns after Reigns' win over Solo Sikoa. Until Monday, both had been thought the two chief rivals of Rock, not least because he appeared to threaten them both when he made his last WWE appearance at Bad Blood in October.

Attention now seemingly turns to the Royal Rumble to indicate what both WrestleMania main events might be, with John Cena the first of a loaded topline slate confirmed for the titular battle royal. More on The Rock if and when he decides to show up, basically.
