Tegan Nox's NXT women's title aspirations will have to wait a week.

Those tuning into WWE Monday Night Raw hoping to catch Becky Lynch defending her NXT Women's Championship against Tegan Nox had to be disappointed to find out that The Man was unable to compete due to her war against Tiffany Stratton over the weekend.

Lynch faced Stratton in a rematch at NXT No Mercy, with the former champion failing to regain her title in an Extreme Rules match. During the match, Becky sustained a laceration that required 11 stitches to close, according to Fightful Select. Lynch was not able to get medically cleared for Raw.

Nox appeared in the audience at No Mercy to watch the main event and have a respectful staredown with Lynch after she emerged victorious, setting up Monday's planned title defense.

Instead, Tegan was seen backstage in WWE official Adam Pearce's office discussing the change in plans when Chelsea Green walked in. She ran her mouth a bit and talked her way into a singles match against Nox, which the Welsh Firecracker won in short order.

Later in the program, the women's title match between Lynch and Nox was announced for next week's Raw.

Interestingly, this is the second time a planned Nox/Lynch title match on Raw has been scuttled. She was originally scheduled to answer Becky's open challenge two weeks ago, only for it to be changed to Natalya answering the challenge at the last minute.

Before Monday's match and her Raw victory over Natalya last week, Nox had not had a singles match on either of the main shows since March. The renewed push reportedly comes in part due to Becky wanting to work with and elevate other superstars.
