WWE's Charlotte Flair Out For 2 Months After Surgery

A spell on the sidelines awaits for WWE's 'Queen.'

WWE's Charlotte Flair is set to spend time on the injury reserve as she undergoes an unspecified surgical procedure.

This is the word of Dave Meltzer on today's episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, who states that the promotion expects to have her back by SummerSlam 2020 (23 August), though it isn't 100% certain. A two-month absence looks likeliest.

WWE.com published an injury update on Flair after last night's Raw, claiming the multi-time champion had potentially suffered a fractured collarbone during the broadcast. That these things are often worked makes them difficult to take at face value, however.

Raw saw Flair brawl with Nia Jax, who targetted her should before wrestling Asuka. 'The Empress of Tomorrow' then defeated Charlotte with an arm-based assault before Jax attacked somewhere backstage in the Performance Center in what now looks like a genuine write-off angle.

No wrestler has been more prominent on WWE television than Flair lately. Though Raw is her home, she has appeared on Raw and SmackDown as well, dominating screentime wherever she goes. Her taking the Raw Women's Championship from Asuka had been suggested though this must now be off the table.
