WWE NXT wrestler Chelsea Green is recovering from COVID-19, having revealed that she had tested positive for the illness currently ravaging the planet.

Green posted the following to Facebook recently:-

"It feels so good to be out & about again after testing positive for COVID. I'm thankful I'm starting to feel like myself. WEAR YOUR MASKS people!!"

Here's hoping she's able to make a full recovery before long.

Green has been absent from WWE programming since the 27 May episode of NXT, where she worked a tag bout. Her biggest match this year was the Women's Title contendership ladder match on 8 April, though she lost, with Io Shirai taking the victory and eventually dethroning champion Charlotte Flair.

Chelsea dispensed with Robert Stone's managerial services the last time we saw her, though she is yet to make her next move.

Green's name was speculated alongside the likes of Carmella and Vanessa Borne when WWE started airing mystery vignettes for what appeared to be a new female character on SmackDown, though Carmella appears to be the new clubhouse favourite for this role. It isn't currently clear what WWE has planned for Chelsea in the future.
