WWE has discussed the idea of moving its ThunderDome setup to the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida should it be forced to move from its current Tropicana Field base across town.

This is according to Dave Meltzer, who writes in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter that while nothing is confirmed regarding WWE leaving Tropicana Field, the Yuengling Center should be available when the ongoing college basketball season concludes over the next few weeks.

WWE may have only a few short weeks left at Tropicana Field. The new Major League Baseball season is set to commence on 1 April, so the Tampa Bay Rays would need their home arena back.

Meltzer points towards purchased WWE flights with "Tampa" listed as the inbound location as evidence that the promotion will look to keep the ThunderDome in the Tampa Bay area if forced to move.

Yuengling Center is a 10,411-capacity indoor sports arena located on the University of South Florida campus. This makes it closer in style to the ThunderDome's original Amway Center home in Orlando than Tropicana Field, which is an open-air baseball stadium. The ThunderDome has been at Tropicana since December 2020.
