WWE's Otis Got Speared Trying To High-Five Trish Stratus

He was in fifth grade at the time...

Otis has blossomed into this generation's most unlikely babyface success story, but he told Digital Spy how he used to just be a regular WWE fan who wanted to get close to his favourites.

When he was in fifth grade (which would make 'baby' Otis round 10-11 years old), he lunged over the barricade at a live show to try and high-five Trish Stratus during her entrance. All was going well until security speared the sh*t out of him and sent the poor kid tumbling to the ground.

It hurt, but Otis admits that he didn't really look like the average child ("I was a 200-pound fifth grader – I looked like a man almost") so he forgives the security guard. His family also received front row tickets to the next WWE show in the area as an apology.

Otis has never told Trish this story, partly because he's too embarrassed to. Around 17-18 years ago, he just wanted a quick high-five, but he ended up on his ass because security thought he might jump the barrier and cause some trouble.

What a story that is.
