WWE's Plan For Vacant NXT Tag Team Titles Revealed
Titles relinquished last week after Nash Carter was fired for mimicking Nazi salute.
NXT 2.0's currently vacant tag titles will have new owners by the end of Tuesday night's program.
It was announced via WWE.com Monday that the NXT Tag Team Championship would be determined in a five-team gauntlet match. Grayson Waller & Sanga, Legado del Fantasma, The Creed Brothers, Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen, and Pretty Deadly will compete in the match to crown new champs.
The titles were vacated last week when WWE fired Nash Carter, one-half of then-champions MSK. He apparently was fired due to a photograph that his wife Kimber Lee posted of Carter mimicking a Nazi salute with a Hitler-like moustache. Lee also had made numerous domestic abuse allegations against Carter on Twitter.
MSK had just won the tag titles at NXT Stand and Deliver on 2 April, meaning that both new NXT tag champs crowned at the event lost their titles in less than a week, though MSK's method was much more dubious.

MSK debuted in NXT in January 2021, winning the tag titles at NXT: Stand & Deliver 2021. They lost the straps to Imperium at Halloween Havoc before winning them back earlier this month.
There's been no word about what the future holds for Carter's tag partner, Wes Lee. Hopefully, WWE will give him an opportunity to shine on his own or let him form a new tag team. It's a shame that he lost his newly won tag title through no action of his own and isn't even in the match to crown new champs.
