8) Orange Cassidy

7) Kazuchika Okada

6) MJF

5) El Hijo del Vikingo

4) GUNTHER

This win marks Rollins' third time topping the PWI 500, with him having previously nabbed that award in 2015 and 2019. The only other wrestler to have grabbed the #1 spot in the PWI 500 three times is John Cena (2006, 2007, 2013).

While the Visionary and his Shield brothers rounded out the top three this year, this also marks the fourth time in the past five years that a former Hound of Justice has topped the PWI 500. In addition to Rollins getting that gong in 2019, Jon Moxley received the award in 2020, and Roman Reigns did the same last year. That run was broken up in 2021 by Kenny Omega; though even then, Roman was hot on Omega's heels in second place.

When it comes to this year's PWI 500, the evaluation period was 1 July 2022 to 31 July 2023. The rankings take into account win-loss records, technical ability, influence on the industry, success against top opposition, success against diverse opposition, and sheer amount of activity.
