Johnson, 19, tweeted the following on Sunday:-

WWE announced Johnson's signing in February. The daughter of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Simone immediately announced her goal to become the first fourth-generation wrestler in company history, following 'The People's Champion', her grandfather Rocky Johnson, and great-grandfather 'High Chief' Peter Maivia.

"It means the world to me," Simone said at the time. "To know that my family has such a personal connection to wrestling is really special to me and I feel grateful to have the opportunity, not only to wrestle, but to carry on that legacy.”

Simone's knee issues were known prior to her signing with WWE, and even spurred her to move into professional wrestling, with Johnson claiming hurting the joint in 2019 drove her to stay in Orlando and train.

Johnson is yet to wrestle on WWE television, though she was seen in the crowd multiple times when the promotion was using Performance Center athletes as audience members while filming from the state-of-the-art training facility earlier this year.

All the best to Simone in her recovery.
