PWInsider is reporting that Shawn Michaels is set to replace Bruce Prichard as WWE's Executive Director of Creative Writing & Talent once the ex-Brother Love retires from his full time position following WrestleMania 43 next spring. Of note, Prichard is expected to work from home as a consultant for the company, but he won't be out on the road.

That'd be HBK's gig next to longtime pal Triple H. Are you ready? Sorry.

In turn, Bryan Alvarez is telling Wrestling Observer subscribers that none other than AJ Styles will step into Shawn's shoes as the new figurehead on NXT. That'd be a huge role for AJ following his retirement at the hands of Gunther earlier this year - Styles passed out in a sleeper at Royal Rumble and waved goodbye to the ring.

Thus far, he's resisted the temptation to return for 'one more match', and even passed up thoughts of bowing out on the grand stage at WrestleMania. Instead, AJ was inducted into WWE's Hall Of Fame shortly before the 42nd iteration of that PLE.

Now, he could be set to become 'the new Shawn Michaels' on the developmental brand. That'd come with a lot of responsibility, but developing fresh talent is something AJ is incredibly passionate about.

Promoting Michaels to Hunter's side also makes sense. Shawn has proven himself in NXT for years now, and he's absolutely prepped for bigger things on the main roster. Prichard retiring from his full time gig opens the door for 'The Showstopper' to step up.

It'll be all change soon in the power hierarchy at WWE.
