Triple H is currently recovering after undergoing a procedure following a cardiac event last week, WWE has confirmed.

The promotion issued the following statement on the matter last on Tuesday evening:-

“Paul Levesque, a.k.a. Triple H, underwent a successful procedure last week at Yale New Haven Hospital following a cardiac event. The episode was caused by a genetic heart issue and Paul is expected to make a full recovery.”

No further details had been disclosed at the time of writing.

Triple H has made only sporadic on-camera appearances for WWE over the past few years, having largely operated in a behind-the-scenes function as WWE's Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy Development and COO.

Running NXT's day-to-day operations as the brand's executive producer remains one of his key roles in the company, with the WWE legend last stepping between the ropes himself in 2019, despite brawling with Randy Orton on an episode of Raw earlier this year.

There is currently no timescale for Triple H's return.

Everyone at WhatCulture would like to wish Triple H all the best in his recovery and hope that he is back to full health before long.
