4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Monday Night Raw (17 November - Results & Review)

UPS…

4. Running Circles Around Everyone

WWE Raw Solo Sikoa Dolph Ziggler
WWE

The earlier criticism about Dolph Ziggler’s return Monday night was more focused on the fans and just the reality that he’s been gone for a relatively short period of time, but what stood out in his return was just how maniacal of a bumper Ziggler still is, and how he can energize a match. Seriously, has Solo Sikoa ever had as charged a match as he had on Raw? Dolph flew around the ring and bumped like a madman, making Solo look like a million bucks.

The match also had more energy and unique flavor to it as a result than about 80% of what we get on WWE programming these days. It was clear that Ziggler being in the ring meant that the bland WWE house style went out the window for one night.

Much like the criticism leveled at fans that they’d become bored if Dolph returned to WWE tomorrow, the same is true about his in-ring style – it would become rote after a while and lose its impact. But for one night, it was refreshing to see that.
