Maybe a bit of a shocking selection for those who have followed his career, but the way such a supremely talented wrestler such as Paul London was disregarded by WWE after his tag team with Brian Kendrick split up can't be ignored. Before getting together with the would-be Man With A Plan, London made a splash on SmackDown by being on the receiving end of a severe beat down by Brock Lesnar in a WWE Undisputed Championship match. He would then go on to feud with Billy Kidman before capturing the Cruiserweight Championship from Chavo Guerrero. After dropping the title to Nunzio, London and Kendrick would get together in a team for the second time, going on to win the tag team championships twice while coming to the ring in theatrical masks, no less. The team would contest at the top of the tag team division for three years before Kendrick was drafted to SmackDown to receive a singles push. London, left stranded it seemed, got involved in a storyline between Shawn Michaels, and Chris Jericho and Lance Cade, when Jericho and Cade used London as an example of what happened to those who idolised Michaels. The former Cruiserweight Champion would lose singles matches against both Y2J and Cade before disappearing from television. He would be released from his contract soon after.
