Yet Another AEW Star Out Injured
An AEW Original isn't medically cleared right now.
With AEW's injury list continuing to expand in recent weeks, Tony Khan has now confirmed that Penelope Ford is amongst those currently out of action.
When a fan took to Twitter to question whether Khan had "given up" on Ford, the AEW President responded by clarifying that the AEW Original is not medically cleared right now.
Not at all, total opposite in fact; she’s a great wrestler, and I can’t wait until she’s medically cleared to come back. She’s been in some classic @AEW matches, and hopefully she’ll be in many more!#AEWRampage

Having largely competed for Combat Zone Wrestling after making her in-ring debut in 2014, Ford signed with AEW in January 2019. Her first match with Tony Khan's promotion came at Double of Nothing 2019, where she was part of the women's Casino Battle Royale.
During her time with All Elite Wrestling, the 29-year-old's most memorable moment so far is likely the brutal, bloody tag team Street Fight war that saw her pair up with the Bunny in a losing effort against Anna Jay and Tay Conti on the New Year's Smash 2021 outing for AEW Rampage.
While it's not known what issue is keeping Ford out of action at present, she joins an AEW injury list that includes the likes of CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Kenny Omega, Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, Santana, Lee Johnson, and Penelope's real-life husband Kip Sabian.
