"You're Wrestling In Front Of 2,000 People For A Crackhead" - Je'Von Evans To Ricochet (WWE News)

Insane war of words erupts between WWE NXT's Je'Von Evans and AEW's Ricochet

It's all kicked off on X between WWE NXT's Je'Von Evans and AEW's Ricochet.

It started when Ricochet - these days something of a part-in-character Twitter troublemaker - quoted an account putting over Evans by saying "I'd squash him".

In a response that was then deleted (alongside every other exchange), Evans replied; "My Bad. I Just Got Done Training At The Performance Center, Under Shawn Michaels. Something That You Don't Have Or Do BUT, I Bet Yo Brown Egg Head Ass Would Squash Me If Tony Told You To. Much Love OG #TheYoungOG #TupacOfThisGeneration"

Ricochet replied; "Brother, I was learning from Shawn Michael's when you was like 12. Then went on to become multiple time Champoon. Let me know when you win one, little boy. And yeah, if Tony asked me, I'd definitely beat yo ahh, cuh"

Evans replied; "You Learned From HBK When I Was 12 And Became A Multiple Time Champion. Now, You're Wrestling In Front Of 2,000 People, Every Week, For A Crackhead. Talk About An Upgrade Am I Right?? #TheYoungOG"

And followed up with; "Sounds Like Mr. Khan Isn't Giving You Enough Attention. Sooooooooo"

This rather out-of-nowhere spat comes as both ride waves of momentum on their respective shows, receiving critical acclaim for finding their feet in bold pushes. After a shaky start as a babyface following his debut All In: London 2024, Ricochet's revelatory heel run has seen him mesh his futureproof and era-defining in-ring style with a spiteful and malicious villainous persona certain to eventually win AEW gold. Over in NXT and very much moving that same style forward for the next generation, Evans' "bouncy" aerial style has raced him to the top of cards, with a headline spot in then WrestleMania weekend Stand & Deliver Premium Live Event marking the latest of his achievements at just 21 years old.

Evans' remarks might not find him in the best of favour in AEW, where he had previously made one appearance Jay Malachi in defeat against Fuego Del Sol. With the tweets deleted, cooler heads might have now prevailed, but more on this as and when it inevitably boots off again.
