There's currently no word on how long Sakazaki will be with AEW for, though this will be the first time she has appeared for the promotion since February, when she competed in the Women's World Title Eliminator Tournament, falling to Ryo Mizunami at the Japanese bracket's final stage.
Sakazaki's history in AEW stretches back to May 2019, when she teamed with Emi Sakura and Aja Kong to face Mizunami, Riho, and Hikaru Shida at the original Double Or Nothing.
After wrestling again at Fyter Fest the following month, Yuka left until February 2020, when she came back for a brief but heated feud with Britt Baker, who bloodied Sakazaki's mouth - which was sold as Britt pulling some of Yuka's teeth out. It'll therefore be interesting to see if AEW goes back to this, particularly now that Baker is Women's Champion.
Sakazaki recently held TJPW's top belt, the Princess of Princess Championship, for over 400 days, dropping it to Rika Tatsumi on 4 January.
