8. Blackest Night
As mentioned in the previous entry, there is a status quo in comic book movies, and one DC story that could change all of that is the Blackest Night. The Black Lantern Corps run amok as the leader, Black Hand, starts to resurrect the dead and the other Lantern Corps must put their differences aside and find a way to stop them.
Things get even more complicated for The Lanterns as Black Hand resurrects many fallen individuals like Batman, Aquaman, and Superman as they become marionettes to the puppet master, Black Hand.
A horror themed comic book movie is just the type of film that could change the way people view the genre and would help relieve some of the "superhero fatigue" people could be feeling. After the disastrous 2011 Green Lantern motion picture, fans are a little skeptical of a Lantern film, but this would be a excellent way to redeem Hal Jordan in the eyes of the masses as he kicks some zombie butt and finds a way to restore his fallen friends.
