8. The Circumstances Surrounding Whedon's Involvement

The fans have long pined for a Joss Whedon-directed DC movie, confident in his ability to weave the same magic he spun so effortlessly with The Avengers.

The will to see it happen has always been there, but nobody wanted to see it come to pass under these sad circumstances.

Zack Snyder dropped out of the project late in the game following his daughter's tragic suicide, leaving it to Whedon to shoulder reshoot duties.

The incident has cast a somber shadow over Justice League's production, with the Snyder family forced to navigate incredibly difficult times as the movie's development continued under new personnel.

Whedon working in the DCEU could have been a dream ticket, but instead it just feels gut-wrenching, though it goes without saying that nobody was at fault over this.
