10 Times Comic Book Heroes Became Villains (In A Big Way)

5. The Hulk: Old Man Logan

Green Lantern Emerald Twilight
Marvel Comics

In the original Old Man Logan story, the world has been decimated by the Red Skull. Basically he united super villains and pitted them against superheroes who aren’t prepared to take them on, which ended up with most of them dying.

For reasons that vary from ‘radiation poisoning’ to ‘just being himself’, the Hulk decided to be on the side of kicking ass and taking names (for the sake of putting them on headstones). The United States was split between a variety of super-villains, with a lot of it going to that green gamma infused goliath the Hulk.

The worst of all, however, this is the way that the Hulk expanded on his ‘gang’. He forced She-Hulk, his first cousin, to birth his offspring.

That’s right, he raped his cousin to make a load of inbred soldiers. Bad enough, right? End of argument, you’d say. But no, they also eventually killed Wolverine’s family just to get the old man to fight him. Thankfully he went down in style, as he ate Old Man Logan (oh, yeah, he ate everyone he beat up, so, there’s that) but Wolverine healed up in his stomach and tore his way out of the not-so-jolly Green Giant.
