10 X-Men Characters Most SHAFTED By The Movies

8. Apocalypse

X-men Apocalypse

There are few X-Men bad guys as notorious as Apocalypse. The first ever mutant is also one of Marvel's worst tyrants, and a villain who's featured in more X-Men stories than Wolverine's had deaths.

So naturally, when Oscar Isaac was cast as the villain for the appropriately titled X-Men: Apocalypse, fans began to talk. Not only could Isaac deliver the goods as one of the most powerful mutants going - given the appropriate freedom - he could knock this one out of the park.

...Not in the right direction though, as the character was revealed to be an Ivan Ooze-esque bad guy with a penchant for mind control and Roland Emmerich-style destruction. It was just incredibly dull, which ruined the good streak the franchise had been on up until that point.

Here's hoping Mister Sinister fares better?
