Why She's Awesome

Lady Shiva is a uniquely intriguing figure in Batman lore, a deadly, highly-trained assassin working as a wildcard mercenary, with a singular obsession with proving her own ability by challenging the most powerful and skilled opponents in the world. She does just that to Batman, wishing to test his limits in a one-on-one situation (which she ultimately is robbed of, thanks to the intervention of Robin).

After Bane broke Batman's back in Knightfall, the Dark Knight turned to Shiva to train him, and she tricked him into a position designed to realise his full potential through killing - arguably the most interesting idea that could be used as a sub-plot in a Batman movie.

How Likely Is She?

At the minute, extremely unlikely, because her most valuable storyline (post-Knightfall) won't be happening any time soon. Bane won't reappear quickly, and it's unlikely we'll see a broken Batman with Justice League rising. But she's be a great side addition to a main villain - popping up to test Batman as he tries to save Gotham from another threat. 4/10
