3. He Isn't All That Effective
Sure Batman, always gets his man. The Joker is always put away, Two Face always thwarted, Bane always defeated. But none of his work is ever permanent. He basically bats a 0% average when it comes to keeping these villains behind bars. No police force has ever really had a crime prevention success rate as low as that. Not only that but crime has almost certainly gotten worse in Gotham since Batman turned up on the scene. At the very least it has gotten more extravagant. Things might have been bad before the Batman with Mobsters running amuck, but that is probably better than people trying to covering all of Gotham in fear gas, or use venom to turn everyone into steroid super junkies. One of there things is manageable with a concerted effort to crack down on crime, the other is unfortunately generally requires superheroics.
