Daughters Of The Dragon: 8 Reasons Why It Should Be Netflix's Next Marvel Series

8. Misty Knight Was The Highlight Of Luke Cage

Luke Cage hit the ground running when it released last September, and while Mike Colter was brilliant in the lead, it was Misty who stole the show.

Indeed, Simone Missick's performance really helped anchor the series, which saw Knight during her earlier years as a detective in the NYPD. Eagle-eyed viewers would've also noticed the show's constant teasing of the character's bionic arm from the comics, with the character having very nearly come close to losing her actual arm near its end. Bionic or not, Missick was very much the character from the comics, and with The Defenders promising to bring some pretty massive changes to the MCU's street level spin-offs, it wouldn't be at all surprising to see Knight inch closer towards her hero persona.

No doubt fans will be eager to see Misty in The Defenders, especially since it's pretty much a given that Knight will meet up with Colleen at some point in the season's eight episodes. They're a synonymous pairing, and with both having received the most plaudits on their respective shows, it seems likely that Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez will be keen to see them link up sooner, rather than later.
