6. James Franco

The fact that James Franco writes, directs and acts in about a dozen movies per year - most of which you've probably never even heard of - is clear proof that he just loves to work.

However, he runs the risk of severely diluting his brand, if he hasn't already. For every This Is the End or The Disaster Artist, there are literally about a dozen half-baked adaptations of classic novels, experimental art-house projects and even the occasional awful post-apocalyptic thriller.

Franco has appeared in almost 40 movies over the last five years, and you're most likely aware of maybe five or six of them. For those following his career, though, when a new James Franco movie pops up on a streaming service, it elicits more of a groan than anything approaching intrigue or excitement.

He's got close to a dozen projects either awaiting release, in post-production or currently shooting, so don't expect his habits to change in the near-future.
