10 Awesome Slasher Films You've Probably Never Seen

Neglected horror films you must see immediately.

Across the ages, slashers have been one of the most successful sub-genres of horror. From Halloween€™s Michael Myers in the 1970s, slashers remained strong throughout the €™80s with Jason (and his mother), until evolving into post-modern horror delight with the Scream franchise in the late €™90s-€™00s. Despite being incredibly formulaic, somehow having a bunch of teens running away from a serial killer is something that audiences can€™t get enough of. Thankfully one doesn't need a big budget to meet these demands, so there probably won't be any kind of slasher death soon. As with all genres, you€™re going to have classics, but you€™re also going to have some diamonds in the rough that fall by the wayside in terms of mainstream popularity. Plenty of horror buffs are bound to know a lot of the films on this list, but for some reason they haven€™t reached the dizzying heights of Scream, or even I Know What You Did Last Summer. You see, for every Halloween, there€™s a Black Christmas; for every Sorority Row, there€™s a Peeping Tom; and for every Child€™s Play, there€™s Detention. This article will look at some of these more neglected slashers, and hopefully expose how good these gems really are (or, as in the case of Cherry Falls, how so-bad-they€™re-good). Click "next' below as we kick the list off...

Fan of Taylor Swift and the Dead Kennedys (a duet I can only dream of). I like dystopias, slasher films, and video games that make me feel things.
