10 Best Horror Movie Villains Who Only Appeared Once

7. Molesar - The Keep

The Keep is definitely the odd one out in director Michael Mann’s filmography. He’s best known for thrillers like Heat, Collateral and The Insider, so a fantasy horror movie set during World War II definitely sticks out a bit.

It’s not his favourite either, and he disowned it once the studio took it out of his hands and brutally re-edited it. It’s since become a major cult film, thanks to the gorgeous visuals, sinister atmosphere and Molesar himself, the monster at the centre of it all.

Molesar is a vampire-like creature who sucks the lifeforce out of his enemies, and his unique design combined with his love of inflicting pain and terror make him a memorable villain. The suit looks a bit awkward at times, but those who’ve seen The Keep will know the chill Molesar gives lasts awhile after the credits roll.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
