10. The Brachiosaurus - Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
The fifth Jurassic Park film may have been a colossal misfire for the most part, but it's hard to argue with the effectiveness of the Brachiosaurus' devastating death scene as Owen (Chris Pratt), Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) and co. escaped Isla Nublar.
As the island's active volcano engulfs the island, the heroes look back from their ship to see a Brachiosaurus, apparently the very same one audiences were introduced to in the original Jurassic Park, letting out an anguished cry before it's helplessly consumed by the lava.
This is the single moment in Fallen Kingdom to actually register something approaching actual emotion, and it's just a damn shame it didn't end up in a better movie overall.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
