10 Films Unfairly Rated R

8. A Good Day To Die Hard

A Good Day to Die HardRated R for violence and language The latest installment into John McClane€™s slowly dissipating legacy can be described in a multitude of ways. For starters it€™s a soul crushingly terrible film that symbolizes the iconic action hero€™s death rattle. There was a time when the movie had hype surrounding it though. After it became public that A Good Day To Die Hard would be rated R and not dialed back in terms of violence or language similar to its critically panned predecessor Live Free Or Die Hard, diehard Die Hard fans kicked back and rejoiced. This film turned out awful for a stack of reasons ( seriously, whoever said €œget me the guy that ruined the Max Payne adaptation€ should be ostracized and ousted from making big Hollywood decisions ). The rating didn€™t have any direct correlation with the quality this time around though. After seeing this atrocity it€™s still unclear why this was rated R. It has minimal F bomb usage, little blood, and no sexual content. I€™m convinced the movie was purposely presented to squeak past the MPAA with as soft an R as possible just to give fans a glimmer of excitement before they endured this crap.
