10 Marvel Comic Storylines That Need To Be Put On Film

10. Born Again

From the photos of Charlie Cox in costume, it looks like Netflix€™s Daredevil series is taking obvious influence from Frank Miller€™s The Man Without Fear mini-series. This story was Miller€™s initial pitch for a Daredevil film years ago, and it goes through Matt Murdock€™s origin story and also features some elements of the Kingpin€™s rise to power. If the series is going to take cues from Miller€™s seminal run on the character, then one story that would be completely epic on the big screen would be Born Again. In the story, Karen Page€”Matt€™s former secretary and love interest€”had left Nelson and Murdock in order to pursue a career as an actress. After becoming addicted to heroin and starring in pornographic movies in Mexico, Karen became so desperate for a hit that she sold the secret of Daredevil€™s true identity, a secret that eventually made it up the chain to the Kingpin himself. The Kingpin then used all his resources to destroy Matt€™s life€”freezing his assets, ruining his law career, and blowing up his apartment. Homeless, Matt begins to descend into insanity, leading into a particularly brutal confrontation with the Kingpin, which he loses. Born Again is one of the most powerful Daredevil stories ever written, and it contains so much material that it could easily be adapted into a Netflix season (perhaps for season two or three of Daredevil). If they stay true to the tale, they can even work in a guest-role for Chris Evans as Captain America and a cameo by Chris Hemsworth€™s Thor during Daredevil€™s battle with the super soldier called Nuke.
