10 Marvel Comic Storylines That Need To Be Put On Film

Now that Civil War has been confirmed, what other storylines should Marvel bring to the big screen?

Marvel has recently announced its upcoming movie slate up through 2019. In addition to the excitement many fans feel at finally getting solo films for Black Panther and the Carol Danvers version of Captain Marvel, the announcement also included the subtitle of the next Cap film€”Captain America: Civil War. Initially teased as Captain America: Serpent Society (which we would have preferred), the next Cap movie will feature Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. facing off against each other in an adaptation of the popular yet controversial crossover of the same name. We just hope the Russo brothers are able to stay true to the characters without turning Steve into a jerk or Tony into a despot, and that they can use the political allegory in a way that€™s more intelligent than just an excuse for a bunch of random characters collected from the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe to appear fighting in splash pages. With anticipation high, the question is now raised about what other classic storylines can or should Marvel adapt to the big screen? With the third and fourth Avengers films split up as one big epic€”The Infinity War€”it is going to be hard to figure out where to go next. Fortunately for Marvel, we€™ve got some ideas on other stories they can adapt.
